Equip yourself to be a Counsellor

In 2021, SATS launched a new Bachelor of Theology Honours programme specialising in Christian counselling. This is a professional degree affording one the opportunity to apply for designation as a counsellor with the CPSC (SAQA-recognised professional body for pastoral and spiritual counsellors in South Africa). If you have a Theology Bachelor’s degree, but have not been exposed to any counselling training, a bridging programme will be set up for you to provide the foundation for the theoretical and practical training offered in the BTh Honours space. If you have completed the BTh with a counselling focus, you are eligible for this Honours programme. To learn more about application requirements, please click here. If you need more information about the programme, please email Dr. Candida Millar ([email protected]).

Free Ethics e-Conference

You are welcome to register for our free upcoming e-Conference (14 to the 16 March 2023). Moral principles that have guided belief and behaviour in the past are increasingly challenged by a secularised world untethered from a theistic worldview as expressed via the Christian faith. How does a biblically-informed, Christlike, Spirit-empowered, and God-glorifying ethic inform and transform clergy, congregants, communities, countries, and even continents? The event will include papers focussing on these specific aspects. Click here for further details and to register.

Friday Symposia at SATS

SATS Symposia features papers from all theological sub-disciplines that explore the interplay between theology, biblical ethics, and the church from a Global South perspective. Click here to see our February programme, and join us in conversation on these brilliant topics.
