New Opportunities

A New Curriculum for the Higher Certificate in Christian Counselling (late 2024)

We have been praying about writing additional curriculum material that would offer students our own counselling model—a Bible-based, Christ-centred, Spirit-led model unique to SATS—that is contextually relevant to Africa, and beyond.  While we only began praying about it in September 2023, God has moved far quicker than we could have imagined. The curriculum for the new 5E Model of Christian Counselling will be launched in term 4, 2024.

For those not yet in a higher certificate for Christian counselling, please note that there will be no intake for this programme in term 3, 2024. We look forward to launching the new curriculum in term 4, 2024.

If you are already a student in the Higher Certificate in Christian Counselling programme, you have been sent an email about how the change in curriculum will affect you.

If you have any questions, please email the Head of Christian Counselling, Dr Candida Millar, at [email protected]

Job Opportunities: Part-Time lecturers in Theology

Do you have a calling to serve the Lord as a lecturer in a Theological Seminary? Are you passionate about teaching a course  in one of the following theological subdisciplines: Biblical studies, Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, or Missiology? The South African Theological Seminary (SATS) is currently recruiting a part-time lecturer for the Bachelor of Theology programme. At SATS, we believe that teaching theology is more than an academic practice; it is a ministry. It is more than transmitting head knowledge; it is about imparting the life of Christ to our students through the power of the Spirit. It is about modelling Christ to those being prepared for life and ministry in both the church and society. We serve as a family of men and women who love the Bible, follow Christ, and are led by the Spirit.

All our training and lecturing take place online.
