The SMT is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the SATS, under the oversight of the Board of Directors. The SMT members are appointed by the Board. It consists of the Principal, who leads the team, and Vice-Principals, with the Company Secretary as an ex-officio part of the team.
The purpose of the SMT is to lead SATS in a Christlike and missional way. To this end, its tasks include protecting the seminary’s theological integrity and mission, promoting its spiritual health and vitality, prioritising the allocation of its human and financial resources, undertaking regular strategic planning, taking responsibility for quality assurance and enhancement, identifying risks and threats, building the seminary’s reputation, and ensuring that serving students remains the focus.
