SATS Master of Divinity Programme
SATS is offering a fully accredited Master of Divinity (MDiv) program with outstanding theological education marked by academic excellence, character and spiritual formation, and ministry experience. This is a two-year professional master’s degree designed for pastors. Since it does not require a prior degree in theology, it is the ideal gateway into advanced theological and ministerial training for second-career pastors.
It has already been a year since SATS started enrolling students in the programme and we took the opportunity to reflect on their study journey. Here is some feedback from students on the course on Preaching and Teaching the Psalms (OTS1523):
“I am excited to teach from the Psalms in the future. Mostly, I am intrigued by how the study of the Psalter has transformed my personal prayer life. Knowing that God is concerned by what concerns us has heightened my compassion towards others and has made prayer so much more enjoyable. May you be refreshed as you have refreshed and revived us.”
Malibongwe Masinga
“The Psalms have enhanced my understanding of prayer, worship, and suffering. I know the truths I have learned will stay with me for the rest of my life. Moreover, the skills I have learned to interpret the Psalms will continue to be used to grow me and serve me in the future to teach these precious words to others. Thank you for your help and support, I have learned so much.”
“Praise the LORD” (Ps 150:6).”

SATS 25th Anniversary Discounts
June marked the 25th anniversary of the South African Theological Seminary, and we want to use this milestone as an opportunity to reflect on God’s grace and faithfulness to us and our students. Over the coming months, keep your eyes peeled for the various anniversary celebration initiatives from SATS, as we release them on our website, our social media accounts and in our newsletters.
One of these initiatives is a 25th Anniversary Special Discount, running from 1st July to 31st December 2021. SATS is offering two special discounts:
25% Off Enrolment Invoice
New applicants who have paid their application fee, have been accepted, and decide to enrol for a program, will receive a 25% discount on their enrolment invoice.
25% Off First Invoice of Next Programme
This discount is for graduates who decide to study further, or those who are finishing a program and commit to the next one, between 1st July and 31st December 2021. These students will receive a 25% discount on their first invoice for the new programme.
Terms and Conditions: For new applicants enrolling for the first time, the special anniversary discount applies to the enrolment fee and the compulsory orientation subjects only (THE1120, GEN4121, and MRS5240). For existing students enrolling for a new programme, the discount can apply to multiple courses (maximum 4), provided the courses all appear on the 1st invoice into the programme. If you meet the criteria for either of these discounts, and the invoice is issued in the above timeframe, the discounts will be automatically applied. Invoices must be paid by the 31st of December 2021 for the discounts to apply. The special anniversary discount will override all other discounts, including bulk purchase discounts and partnership discounts.
