Counsellor’s Corner – March: Approaching the Cross

How does hope shape you when the path includes suffering?

“…becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead” (Philippians 3:10–11, NIV).

As we move toward Easter, we are reminded that transformation often comes through surrender as God works in us by his Spirit. Mental health healing is rarely instant; it unfolds through patience, lament, and hope. Paul holds suffering and resurrection together—neither stands alone. This season invites us to sit honestly with pain while trusting God’s redemptive work. If you are in a difficult season, remember that healing can be slow, but hope can still be real.
