About this course
The Mission of God in Glocal Perspective[ will help you to develop a biblical theology of mission and a framework for engaging in effective local and global missions. The course is organised around the four classic perspectives on world missions in Perspectives on the World Christian Movement(Winter and Hawthorne 2013), namely, the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic perspectives. After considering the biblical foundations for missions, you will evaluate contemporary trends and issues from a historical perspective and cultivate a strategic approach for engaging in missions and mobilising others to do the same.
By the end of this course you should be able to:
Articulate a biblical theology of mission.
Explain important missiological debates and strategies in the light of the history of missions.
Interpret contexts with cultural wisdom and maturity.
Develop strategies for local and global missions.
