Greek Reading 1

This course is designed to review the grammar of New Testament Greek at an introductory level, refresh New Testament Greek vocabulary knowledge, and build reading skills by translating 1 John from the SBL Greek New Testament.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

• Demonstrate working knowledge of Koine Greek grammar at the level presented in Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek.
• Recognise vocabulary occurring 30 or more times in the SBL Greek New Testament.
• Translate any verse from 1 John, including parsing known morphological forms and providing the inflected meaning of known lexemes.
