About this course

Greek 2A is the third step on the journey towards reading and interpreting the Greek New Testament. This course builds on the foundation laid in Greek 1A and 1B. In this course, you are going to learn the remainder of the grammar—mostly non-indicative verbs. By the end of this course, you will have covered all the foundational grammar and you will be ready to begin reading and studying the Greek New Testament. By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Memorise and recognise the diagnostic features for participles, subjunctives, infinitives, and imperatives.
  • Parse all categories of Greek verbs correctly, and explain their formation.
  • Interpret the syntax and semantics of Greek verbal.
  • Interpret and translate sentences from Greek into English.
