Rev Dr Timothy Churchill

Dr Churchill started out as an IT programmer after earning Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. After sensing the call to missions, he earned an MDiv, a ThM, and a PhD in Theology (Biblical Studies / New Testament) with a dissertation entitled Divine Initiative and the Christology of the Damascus Road Encounter. He served four years at Evangelical University of Zambia as Academic Dean, before moving to Cape Town, where he served three years as Academic Dean of Bible college in South Africa. He joined SATS in September 2019 in a dual role, leading the technology team until October 2024, but still serves as a senior academic. Timothy is married to Kristina, and together they have four adult children and four grandchildren.
