SATS is proud to announce the 2027 full PhD scholarship and research internship for emerging South African theologians interested in Theology and Praxis in Pastoral Care and Christian Counselling. The opportunity includes a fully paid PhD scholarship, as well as experience in research assistance. SATS is inviting proposals that integrate biblical and theological understandings of transformation with practical expressions in pastoral care and Christian counselling in the African context.

How do you care for your inner life when energy feels low?
“…becoming like him in his death…” (Philippians 3:10, NIV).
Winter often draws us inward, mirroring emotional seasons of withdrawal or fatigue. Mental health wisdom encourages grounding practices—rest, routine, and honest prayer. Paul understood that following Christ includes limits and loss. This month, resist self-criticism for reduced capacity. Instead, tend gently to your inner world. Slower seasons are not failures; they are invitations to deepen dependence on God. Even in apparent stillness, meaningful formation is taking place.
