Counsellor’s Corner: Endurance in the Heat

Where are you being invited to persevere rather than push through alone?

“Not that I have already obtained all this…but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me” (Philippians 3:12, NIV).

Late summer can feel draining, much like prolonged emotional stress. Mental health wisdom reminds us that perseverance is healthiest when paired with support and rest. Paul’s pressing on was not self-reliance, but purpose anchored in Christ. This month, notice your internal pace. Are you pressing on with grace, or striving in isolation? Reaching out, resting, and resetting boundaries are not signs of weakness—they are acts of faithful endurance.

News from the Counselling Team:

For those interested in registering as professional Christian counsellors and opening their own practice, or in becoming more proficient in their existing work as counsellors, the master’s programme in theology (Christian counselling) is a course-based programme designed for you. Please click HERE for more information. The next two intakes are: 1 August 2026, and 1 February 2027.
