2026 SATS PhD Scholarship & Internship

SATS is proud to announce the 2026 full PhD scholarship and research and teaching internship for emerging African theologians interested in Applied Hermeneutics for African Realities. The opportunity includes a fully paid PhD scholarship, as well as research assistance and teaching experience. Applicants are required to engage the field of applied biblical hermeneutics and African realities. Holding to biblical faithfulness and the truthfulness of Scripture, SATS is inviting proposals that embrace and develop a hermeneutic that accords ultimate priority to the text and yet grapples with the contemporary context for faithful application and relevance.

Counsellor’s Corner: The Value of Community.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2

We were not created to walk this life alone. Community is a place where burdens are shared, joys are multiplied, and love reflects Christ’s heart. This month, consider how you can both give and receive support in your community.

If you feel called to minister to others through lay-counselling or professional Christian counselling, we are here to walk with you on that journey. Supporting you in answering the calling in your life is ours.

Announcements:

SATS is launching a new course in the Higher Certificate of Christian Counselling, titled Abuse and Domestic Violence Christian Counselling (HCC11213). Launching in term 4, it has prerequisites that include HCC1125. Let us know what you think.
