About this course
The is the first course in the Masters and Doctotal programmes. This course lays a foundation for post-graduate studies at SATS and introduces students to the history and core values of SATS, online learning and SATS online platforms, theological research and writing skills. The course helps you to plan your postgraduate studies and reflect on its implications for life and ministry.
By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and engage with SATS’s core values and online platforms
- Evaluate the benefits and challenges of online theological education
- Apply strategies for self-care and personal motivation in postgraduate studies
- Master SATS’s stance on plagiarism, and the instruments used to determine similarity
- Synthesise academic integrity with personal spirituality, by taking full responsibility for decision-making and employment of resources in academic writing
- Understand the basic concepts of academic writing
- Master SBL formatting standards used by SATS
