About this course

This course equips Christian counsellors to engage relational and marital issues through a biblical, theological, and culturally informed framework. Grounded in Protestant Evangelical theology, it explores relationships as covenantal reflections of God’s triune nature, integrating principles of premarital preparation, marital sanctification, conflict resolution, and post-marital restoration. Students examine theological and pastoral perspectives on divorce, remarriage, and singleness as divine callings, engaging African communal dynamics with biblical wisdom. Through Scripture-based reflection, case studies, and applied counselling skills, the course fosters Spirit-led discernment, compassion, and redemptive transformation within marriage and relationship counselling in Christian ministry.
