Crisis and Trauma Christian Counselling

The course is designed to equip lay, pastoral and Christian counsellors to gain deeper theological insight regarding the experience and manifestations of trauma in individuals, and to come alongside traumatised people from a structured approach that centres on the Spirit’s work, guiding clients with a clear focus on Jesus Christ throughout the counselling process. The course will equip counsellors to apply the five steps of the 5E Model of Christian Counselling―Evaluating, Externalising, Exploring, Emending, and Empowering―in an innovative, culturally sensitive way as they come alongside traumatised clients on their healing journey toward wholeness and restoration in Christ.
