Contemporary Issues in Missions

Missiology is an academic discipline that reflects on the history, theory, and practice of mission/s. In this course you will study issues that are critical in missions today. This course will help you not only to see what is happening in our world today but will also help you in developing a passion for missions in the twenty-first century. Mission is close to the heart of God. It should also be in our hearts. By the end of this course you should be able to:

• describe contemporary issues in missiology
• describe globalisation and its impact on missions
• explain migration and its role in the transformation of global Christianity
• evaluate selected issues in contemporary missions
• research contemporary issues in missions in your area.
