Descriptions and Responsibilities
The journal is steered by an Editorial Team that meets regularly. The Editorial Team consists of the Editor, Associate Editor, Content Editor, Copy Editor, Proofreader and Administrator, and Book Review Editor.
The responsibilities of team members are outlined below:
- Editor
The Editor is responsible for the Editorial Team, the journal’s research trajectory, and upholding the ethos of Conspectus. They communicate with the Editorial Board on behalf of the Editorial Team and report to SATS’s Management Team. The Editor and Associate Editor meet regularly to discuss Conspectus’s operations. The Editor is also a member of the Conspectus Editorial Board.
- Associate Editor
The Associate Editor oversees the journal’s operations, implements editorial procedures, contributes to the research trajectory, chairs Editorial Team meetings, communicates with contributors, evaluates journal content, and serves on the Editorial Board.
- Content Editor
The Content Editor ensures the quality of published articles, queries submissions if necessary, contributes to the operational ethos, and serves on the Editorial Board.
- Copy Editor
The Copy Editor manages grammar and formatting, ensures articles are plagiarism-free, evaluates submissions, contributes to the journal’s operational ethos, and serves on the Editorial Board.
- Book Review Editor
The Book Review Editor negotiates and maintains agreements for review copies with publishers, identifies relevant books for review, collates and evaluates reviews, and serves on the Editorial Board.
- Proofreader and Administrator
The Proofreader and Administrator checks grammar, typesets articles, sets the agenda and collates minutes from Editorial Team meetings, manages delegated administrative tasks, and compiles site indexing metrics.
