Biography
Dr. Bert Watson is the author of the SATS Biblical Leadership course and serves as a lecturer. He holds a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary and a PhD in Theology from SATS. Originally from Texas in the USA, Bert spent 35 years in Africa as a youth missionary, pastor, ministry director, SATS lecturer, and teacher/trainer developing biblical leaders in various countries, often in collaboration with other ministries. He enjoys working with both exisitng and emerging Christian leaders. Since his early years were spent ministering to young people, he has a soft spot for youth and young adult leaders. In 2019, Bert returned to the USA, where he serves as a Pastor of Discipleship, Equipping, and Missions in Texas and the heads up another ministry promoting the development of church leaders in the majority world. He is married to Surette, a South African, and they have three adult children and a new granddaughter.
