Dr Maxwell Banda

My name is Maxwell Chiwoko Banda, born on the 18th of January 1992, and got ordained as a Church Minister in the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Nkhoma Synod in 2016. I have been married to Alice since 2017 and we are blessed with 2 Children, Hillel Theophilus and Lael Maralise. I have a PhD in Theology (SATS 2024) majoring in the fields of Biblical Hebrew Linguistics and Old Testament Studies (Translation and Exegesis). I have been a lecturer at Nkhoma University in Malawi (Josophat Mwale Theological Institute campus) since 2016. I enjoy teaching Biblical Hebrew language, courses in Old Testament Studies, Research and Academic Writing, and Spiritual Formation. I am a research associate at the University of Pretoria, SA, in the Department of Old Testament and Hebrew Scriptures. I also serve as a Bible Translator with Scriptura which was formerly known as the Cambridge Digital Bible Research.
