About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide Biblical, Christocentric distance education and training to Christians, and leaders in particular, within their local church environment, to equip them to be Holy Spirit-empowered members of God’s household.

Statement of Faith
We define ourselves as a Bible-based, Christ-centred, Spirit-led seminary. We are a home to a broad cross-section of Christians who believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of the Triune God, that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
SATS Management Team

The SMT is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the SATS, under the oversight of the Board of Directors.

Board of Directors

SATS is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to preserving the seminary’s evangelical roots and its mission of Bible-based, Christ-centred, Spirit-led theological education. Board members combine strong Christian faith with professional expertise to provide wise and objective governance.

Associating with SATS
We believe in associating with like-minded ministries, churches, institutions, and organisations, because we know that there is significant kingdom value in collaboration.
Student Support
We understand that it is not easy to study in isolation. The good news is that we have created a student support culture which serves the needs of our students.
Why We Exist

We exist because God called the seminary into being. Long before distance education was respectable, the Lord led Dr Peppler to start a distance-education seminary. Why did he do it?

Our History
After much prayer and research into distance learning management and practices, the Seminary opened its doors to the public in June 1996.
